Do you remember when a brand-new board cost €350? Or when a top set of fins sold for €70?
Those days are long gone… Surfing has become an increasingly more expensive sport, and we don't see an end to this trend: the surfboard supply chain remains highly distributed and reliant on increasingly expensive raw materials, the production process is still extremely manual, and there's growing pressure regarding the pollution caused by surfboard manufacturing.
From surfers, for surfers, we've created a physical warehouse and an online store dedicated to used surf gear:
- A place to find your next board among the hundreds we have in stock
- A place where your used board sells faster
The old folk talk about a generation of surfers with more money, only buying new gear - we see that the world has changed, where second-hand purchases are easier in every industry except surfing:
- We're still dependent on shops whose stock is full of dead boards
- Or dependent on factories with stock limited to their own brand…
- Or we can venture through online marketplaces searching for a needle in a haystack
As surfers, we wanted a better solution:
- Good boards at fair prices
- Easier board exchanges so we can try more and progress more
- Boards that live longer - better for their owners' wallets and better for the environment!
